iPhone Loses the Spotlight in MKBHD’s Smartphone Awards 2022

Smartphone awards 2022

MKBHD’s Smartphone Awards is an award show held by a famous tech Youtuber Marques Brownlee also known as MKBHD, in which the iPhone loses the spotlight to its competitors.

What is the Complete News?

MKBHD’s smartphone awards 2022 have different categories like best small phone award and best value award etc.

Below are the different awards and the phones winning each award.

Best Small Phone Award

iPhone 13 Mini won the best small phone last year. With premium hardware and a 5.4 inches screen, the iPhone 13 mini was the only best small phone in the market. Unfortunately, 13 Mini lost the spot to Asus Zenfone 9 this year, as Apple replaced it with the bigger iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

With 5.9 inches screen, Asus Zenfone is not as small as iPhone 13 mini, but still, it won the award. According to MKBHD, currently, Zenfone is the best smartphone in this size with flagship specs, a great camera and great battery life.

Best Big Phone Award

MKBHD says Best Big Phone Award 2022 goes to Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra beating Apple’s 6.7 inches screen iPhone 14 Pro Max. With a 6.8-inch screen, S22 Ultra is the biggest smartphone in the market.

Not only that, according to him, it comes with a stylish combination of optimised software, a better 5000 mAh battery life and four high-quality camera lenses.

Best Battery Life Award

Last year, the best battery life award was won by the iPhone 13 Pro Max. But this year, Asus ROG 6 won this award as Apple failed to support the same battery experience in iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As Asus ROG 6 is a gaming phone, it still supports fast charging up to 65W, which will let you charge the phone from 0 to 100% in less than an hour.

Best Camera Award

Whenever we talk about the best camera system, the first phone that comes to mind is the iPhone, as no one in the market can beat the camera system of Apple’s phones.

In 2022, MKBHD praised the camera system of the Google Pixel 7, Vivo X90 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to him, with solid camera experience, Apple’s 14 Pro Max won the best camera system award.

He praises the consistency of the two lenses and how fast it is to open the camera app and take a picture on this iPhone.

Best Value Award

With a price range of $599, Google Pixel 7 won the best value award in 2022. Due to its impressive specs, it beats other smartphones, including the iPhone.

According to MKBHD, the flagship specs in an affordable price range made it a good deal of the year.

Best Design Award

Nothing Phone won the best design award in 2022. According to MKBHD, the Nothing phone reminds of the latest iPhones from the sides. He praises the transparent back of the phone full of LEDs.

He said this LED feature could be used for multiple things like flash light and notifications.

Phone of the Year Award

Last but not least, the phone of the year award 2022 goes to Google Pixel 7. With a flagship software experience, excellent camera system, outstanding display and battery life, the Pixel 7 deserves this award.

The best thing is that it costs much less than other premium smartphones.

Wrapping Up

The only time the iPhone caught everyone’s attention is the camera. Due to its outstanding camera quality, iPhone 14 Pro Max exaggerates the post-processing effect like HDR, which helps us to click some unrealistic pictures.
